Coding Club: Game Dev
The Game Development Part 1 and 2 workshops will introduce Grade 4-5 students to game design concepts and fundamental coding concepts for game development. At the end of the workshop, students will be given the opportunity to present their projects and celebrate their accomplishments. These workshops will use Microsoft MakeCode Arcade.

Game Dev Part 1
Game Dev Part 1 is beginner-friendly and will focus on sprite creation, sprite properties (e.g., position, physics, etc.), and events through building the Space Game (see below).
Game Dev Part 2
Game Dev Part 2 requires some coding experience and we recommend attending Part 1 before joining Part 2. This workshop will cover or expand on topics such as sprite properties (e.g., position, physics, etc.), game scene settings, variables, and if/else conditions. These concepts will be introduced through building a platform jumper game (see below).
