Black Youth Programs
The Black Youth in STEM program is designed to break down barriers to Black youth engagement in STEM fields. Black Youth in STEM engages Black youth in culturally relevant STEM experiences that build skills and confidence.
In the Fall of 2024, we will be delivering multiple programs for Black youth in Surrey, BC:
For youth in grades 4-7, we are partnering with Help From Above Canada to deliver the following programs:
Oct. 5th (9:30-am - 12:30pm): Curly Chemists Workshop
Saturday 3-week series Oct. 19 - Nov. 2nd (10:00am - 12:00pm)
For youth in grades 8-12, we are partnering with Kucheli Foundation to deliver the following programs:
Sept. 21st (1:00pm - 4:00pm): Space Exploration and Engineering Challenge Workshop
Saturday 2-week series Nov. 16 & 23: Artificial Intelligence and Cyber smart
Saturday 2-week series Nov. 30 & Dec. 7th
